Lake Hume Cycle Challenge

The Lake Hume Cycle Challenge, run each February by the Rotary Club of Bellbridge-Lake Hume and partners, is one of the best weekends cycling in the breathtakingly beautiful North East Victoria region, passing by the impressive body of water that is Lake Hume.

Lake Hume Cycle ChallengeRide lengths:

  • 5-25 km Superheroes Riverside ride.
  • 32km Weir Wonder
  • 79km Sandy Creek
  • 127km Granya Grind

The Lake Hume Cycle Challenge 2020 will be held on Saturday, February 22, with rides to cater for all fitness levels and abilities. The road rides take in spectacular undulating hills, attractive farmlands, river flats and the impressive Lake Hume. Shorter town and family friendly rides meander along paved and gravel bike paths incorporating natural bushland, friendly streets and picturesque creeks.

The start and finish will be at the Wodonga Racecourse and from 11am, as riders begin to return, the Chill Zone will allow them to rest and revive. It is here that riders and their families can be part of the “cycle community” catching up with old mates and making new friends. Cool off with of our local chilled beer, cider and wines, sample the fine ice-cream flavours and yummy produce, savour some satisfying stall food and enjoy the sweet chill out sounds of talented local musicians.

Money raised through the Lake Hume Cycle Challenge will go towards the Wellness Centre within the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre. Over the past eight years, the event has raised more than $150,000 for the cause.

The event is finished.
